The Association was delighted to welcome Sir Alex Ferguson to our recent dinner to celebrate the career of Denis Law.
Sir Alex gave a wonderful tribute to Denis, speaking about his ability as a player, his contribution and legacy at Manchester United, and of course their shared love, Scotland.
The dinner in September marked a hugely successful tribute to the Holy Trinity of Denis, Sir Bobby Charlton and George Best that has been paid by the AFMUP over the past year.
Earlier in 2024 we held an evening to celebrate Sir Bobby, which was a hugely emotional night anyway, let alone being so soon after he had passed away. And in September 2023 we held an evening in tribute of George, coming 60 years after his first team debut against West Bromwich Albion in 1963.
